Current Ontario EMR Specifications

Ontario EMR Specification v4.1 was restructured from one comprehensive EMR Specification into several individual EMR specifications that collectively represent the major components of Ontario EMR Specification v4.1.

Each EMR Specification defines functional and non-functional requirements for an EMR offering in Ontario. Each EMR Specification focuses on a particular component, functionality or aspect of interoperability and will be updated over time as new requirements and/or enhancements are introduced.

Subsequent certification of EMR offerings will be based on validation against current individual EMR Specifications.
