COVaxON Training for Primary Care Practices

OntarioMD (OMD) is offering training for primary care practices to administer COVID-19 vaccinations. Training sessions demonstrate how to access and use the provincial COVaxON Vaccination Management System. The COVaxON system enables the Ministry of Health, Vaccination Locations, and staff to collect COVID-19 vaccination data.

COVaxON training is provided virtually, via Microsoft Teams, and is available to all primary care practice staff offering vaccination clinics. 

Each session covers clinical workflow training for primary care staff who will be involved in checking in patients, administering the vaccine, and checking out patients. Most individuals within the practice are anticipated to need this training. Sessions also cover the role of super users who will be involved in managing vaccine inventory and reconciliation and training others in the practice.
