COVaxON Training for Primary Care Practices

OntarioMD (OMD) is offering training for primary care practices to document the administration of COVID-19 vaccinations. Training demonstrates how to access and use the provincial COVaxON Vaccination Management System. The COVaxON system enables the Ministry of Health, Vaccination locations, and staff, to collect COVID-19 vaccination data. The COVaxON tool is not currently integrated with EMRs; the OMA and OMD continue to advocate with the Ministry for a fully EMR-integrated vaccine management solution.

Training Options – Pre-Recorded Sessions

  • If you are a new COVaxON user and will offer COVID-19 vaccinations in your practice, review the End-to-End COVaxON Training Session video. This Session covers clinical workflow training for primary care staff who will be involved in documenting the administration of the COVID-19 vaccines. Most individuals within the practice are anticipated to need this training.
  • If you are a returning COVaxON user but have not used it since June 8th, 2022, review the pre-recorded Changes Only COVaxON Training Session video that covers the changes made by The Ministry of Health to provide improvements that will streamline workflow for primary care practices.

Please note that the COVaxON Primary Care Training is not accredited for any certification or continuing education.
