Describe the recommended hardware configuration required to run your solution for the following scenario: Single physician office; 2 support staff; 2 exam rooms. Include any assumptions that you are making.

Computers for each exam room and at reception are required as well as a main server and back up server with the following specifications:

  • CPU Intel Xeon 2..0 GHz, 1333 FSB
  • Memory min 4GB
  • Primary Hard disks min 250GB 7200rpm
  • Secondary Hard Disk 250GB 7200rpm
  • Gigabit Ethernet Card
  • Server remote management port

Describe the recommended hardware configuration required to run your solution for the following scenario: 8 physician FHN; 4 different geographic locations (physician offices), each with 2 physicians; 3 support staff per physician office; 4 exam rooms per physician office. Include any assumptions that you are making.

Each clinic will require a main server and a backup sever with the specification listed above. Computers will be required for each exam room and for the admin staff. If data sharing is required, the data sharing module will need to be implemented which will require an additional server that can be kept at any of the four locations.

Describe the recommended hardware configuration required to run your solution for the following scenario: 10 physician FHN all located in 1 clinic (physician office); 10 support staff; 20 exam rooms. Include any assumptions that you are making.

Each exam room will need a computer and admin staff will need the appropriate number of computers. The main server and backup server required should have the following minimum specifications:

Main Server:

  • CPU Quad Core Intel Xeon, 2.66 0GHz, 1333MHz FSB or greater
  • Memory 16GB or greater
  • Hard Disk 250 GB SAS 10K RPM or greater
  • Hard Disk 250 GB SAS 10K RPM or greater
  • RAID Controller (optional)
  • Gigabit Ethernet Card
  • Server Remote management port/access with remote console

Backup Server:

  • CPU Quad Core Intel Xeon, 2.66 0GHz, 1333MHz FSB
  • Memory 8GB or greater
  • Hard Disk 250 GB SAS 10K RPM or greater
  • Gigabit Ethernet Card
  • Server Remote management port/access with remote console

Describe the recommended bandwidth requirements required to run your solution for the following scenarios: Configuration 1; Configuration 2; ASP Requirements. Requirements should be broken down by upload bandwidth/user and download bandwidth/user.

Configuration 1 AND 2 require: Business grade DSL.

Do you provide remote server management capabilities? Please list functions provided.

Servers can be monitored and maintained remotely. Upgrades can also be done remotely. This can be done by directly accessing the client's server.

All data is mirrored to a backup server, therefore recovery of data simply consists of accessing data from the backup server.

Do you provide tools to manage the availability of EMR systems? Describe functions.

It is recommended that users have a backup power supply incase power shuts down. As long as there is power, availability is not usually a problem.
